Dubai Chamber of Commerce is World's first Blockchain User

Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Perlin, a leading developer of Blockchain technology, to become first chamber in the world to provide its members and regional partners with advanced Blockchain technology solutions to facilitate the global trade, speed up its operations, and ensure that the chamber is the exclusive partner for the provision of innovative Blockchain services and programs in the MENA region.

These innovative solutions developed by the Future Trade Center, established by the International Chamber of Commerce and Perlin, with the support of the Singapore Enterprise Foundation, will accelerate business transactions, reduce trade risks, streamline and accelerate procedures, and provide better tracking of supply chains to ensure transactions, which will contribute to the members’ competitiveness and regional partners, in addition to the promotion of transparency in trade concepts, and the promotion of sustainability of institutional performance through the reduction of paper transactions and saving time and effort.

Under the terms of the agreement, Dubai Chamber will be the world's first chamber of commerce with exclusive rights to support the global trade in the Middle East and North Africa by offering innovative solutions to facilitate trade through Blockchain technology developed by the Future Trade Center, transforming the global trade system to a simplified one, easy and secure model for all traders, with more than 45 million beneficiaries, members of the International Chamber of Commerce from 100 countries.
